Our New York City (Manhattan) location for outpatient mental health services is conveniently located at 5 Penn Plaza, across from the Moynihan Train Hall and Madison Square Garden. It is easily accessible by various forms of public transit. The building has various tenants from accountants to lawyers to dentists, which provides a discreet feel. It is handicap accessible and has in-suite restrooms. Your provider will give security a list of “visitors” prior to your visit, so that there will be no issues with checking in. We are located on the 23rd floor.

General Practice Information and History:
Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates is a team of 25 psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and psychologists who provide both in-office and virtual psychiatric appointments. We practice holistic and evidenced-based care, and pride ourselves in being thoughtful, thorough and conscientious regarding the prescription of psychiatric medications.
Our providers trained at institutions such as The Johns Hopkins Hospital,
The University of Pennsylvania, Mount Sinai Hospital, & Tufts University. Many of our providers teach, or have taught, at some of these same institutions.
Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates was founded in 2012 by Dr. Chris Pagnani, an Instructor at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, who additionally supervises psychiatric residents at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and serves as the Medical Director of the practice.

Several of our providers at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates, have a special focus in Student Mental Health. In addition to seeking treatment for anxiety, depression, bipolar affective disorder, ADHD and substance use disorders (SUDs), many students struggle with the transition to college, academic stress, academic and career decisions, issues pertaining to gender and orientation, and other difficulties. Our practice consists of providers who understand the struggles that college, graduate students and young adults face. Our providers are welcoming and provide affirming care, to all individuals. Dr. Paula Bu, our Lead Clinical Physician, has a particular focus on Student Mental Health and working with individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community.
