Women have unique experiences both physically and emotionally throughout their lives. There are many physical and hormonal changes that women go through monthly, during pregnancy and postpartum, and peri and post menopause. These changes can dramatically affect mood, anxiety levels, sleeping patterns and more. In order to fully understand and support women during these life changes and stages, it is imperative to understand how physical and hormonal changes affect emotional states.

She brings experience as the former Director of Women’s Behavioral Health at Crozer Medical Center, a position she served for 10 years. In this role, she oversaw a team of psychiatrists and therapists and provided treatment and support for her own patients. She is happy to collaborate with patient’s Obstetricians and Gynecologists as needed to provide comprehensive and coordinated care. Dr. Bernstein now serves as the Director of Women’s Mental Health at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates, and she is scheduling patients for both in-office and virtual Telehealth psychiatric appointments.

Patients may schedule with Dr. Bernstein, or with the other 25 other psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners or psychologists within our practice, for women’s mental health services and treatment.
