Comprehensive Neurodiversity Evaluations: ADHD and Adult Autism Testing w/ Reports and Accommodation Letters for School, Work and Professional Licensure. Philadelphia and Telehealth services outlined below.
- An in-office appointment in Philadelphia may be required for some of these services (continue reading).
- Many of our providers at our locations in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Manhattan, Lehigh Valley, South Jersey and Delaware can complete evaluations for a diagnosis of ADHD, and write letters for accommodations for school (typical total fee of $350 – 400). However, if you require extensive testing by a PhD or Psy.D. (doctoral level psychologist), then Dr. Spano in our Philadelphia office, is the person to schedule with. As an example, if a student has ADHD and would like documentation from a mental health professional that they require time and a half for college examinations, and the ability to take tests in a quiet setting with minimal distraction, a 60 minute appointment with one of our psychiatrists or psychiatric nurse practitioners at any location (or by Telehealth) is typically all that someone needs. If someone requires these services for the MCAT, LSAT, a Bar Association for licensure, or similar – more extensive testing is typically required (w/ Dr. Spano). If you are unsure of your specific needs, you can call our center city Philadelphia office, contact info is at the bottom of this page.
For a 60-Minute evaluation for diagnosis, and a letter of accommodation, you can typically schedule with any prescriber, in-office or via Telehealth. For Extensive testing by a PhD or Psy.D. w/ a Report with Standardized Test Scores, continue reading regarding Dr. Spano’s services.
Dr. Kristine Spano, at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates, is now offering Neurodiversity Assessments, namely ADHD evaluations and Autism testing in Philadelphia, for individuals 16+ who:
1. Suspect symptoms are commensurate with a neurodevelopmental issue such as Autism or ADHD.
2. Need documentation via formal testing and a report (including standardized test results) in order to receive services and/or accommodations.
* Of note, having an examination does not mean that we will recommend accommodations. Letters are written honestly, based on patient results to testing.
Many of our providers at our various offices throughout Pennsylvania, New York, South Jersey and others do offer general ADHD evaluations and treatment. They can provide letters for accommodation as well. However, if a school, place of work, or professional licensing board requires formal reports including standardized test scores, Dr. Spano is the provider who handles these requests, from our Philadelphia office. If patients are unsure of their needs, we recommend they discuss with their school, professional board or work first, or contact scheduling to discuss their unique situation. Be sure to have any paperwork w/ requirements from your school or work available, when calling.
