Our Collingswood office is located conveniently on Haddon Avenue, directly across from the Collingswood PATCO station. It is only a 5-10 minute drive from Cherry Hill and Haddonfield. This office serves individuals from throughout southern new jersey, even shore points in Cape May and Atlantic Counties. There are ample on-site complementary parking spaces, it is handicap accessible it and there is a rest room on site.
General Practice Information and History:
Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates is a private practice of about 25 Local Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and Psychologists who provide Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Managment and Therapy for patients living in Cherry Hill, Collingswood, Haddonfield, and surrounding areas, for Anxiety (GAD, Panic, OCD), Depression (MDD), Bipolar Disorder (BPAD), Substance Use Disorders, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We treat children, college and graduate students, and adults both in-office and via virtual Telehealth sessions. We can provide full-day neuropsychological evaluations for accommodations for school and/or work for ADHD, Autism and other Neurodivergence. Our providers trained at institutions such as The Johns Hopkins Hospital, The University of Pennsylvania, Tufts University, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and similar institutions. In addition to private practice Psychiatry, most teach, or have taught, in Academia.
Our providers are academically oriented, thorough, conscientious about the over-prescription of psychiatric medications,
and aim to treat the whole individual, not just a singular diagnosis. We will always strive to effectively treat patients with the lowest # of medications, in the lowest effective doses. We will also discuss diet, exercise, meditation & yoga, general medical health, behaviors (such as alcohol and substance use), and how personality vulnerabilities may play a role in symptoms. We will collaborate with your local medical providers in Collingswood, Cherry Hill, Haddonfield and elsewhere (even psychotherapists outside of our practice), to offer the most comprehensive and collaborative Psychiatric care available. Laboratory studies and other medical workup are often part of a patient’s treatment.
Our practice includes specialists in areas such as Women’s Mental Health (Pregnancy Treatment Planning RE Psychiatric care and medications, Postpartum Depression & Anxiety, Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), Peri and Post-Menopausal Psychiatric Symptoms), College & Student Mental Health, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Substance Use Disorders, LGBTQIA+ care and others.
We typically have no more than a 2-3 week wait, and have grown in a fashion to maintain either no wait list, or a very short one. Some providers have weekend and evening availability, and providers give patients access to their direct work lines and emails (to use within reason).
Patients living in Collingswood, Cherry Hill & Haddonfield typically had to drive into center city Philadelphia for Psychiatric care, due to the mental health shortage. We are proud to now be offering care directly to these areas.
Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates was founded in 2012 by Dr. Chris Pagnani, MD. In addition to serving as an Instructor at The Johns Hopkins Hospital for the last 12+ years, and a Supervisor of young physicians at Jefferson Hospital for the Department of Psychiatry (also for 12+ years), Dr. Pagnani continues to serve as the Medical Director of Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates.
