General Practice Information and History:
Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates is a private practice of Psychiatry with several locations, mainly throughout Pennsylvania. Our practice is comprised of over 25 psychiatric providers (psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and psychotherapists). We began offering virtual visits during the covid-19 pandemic and have found that many areas throughout Pennsylvania suffer from a shortage of mental health professionals. We are excited to have the opportunity to now serve individuals in Allentown, Scranton, Easton, and Jim Thorpe, closing that gap. We additionally have an office location in Center Valley, PA, where we can see patients for in-office visits.
We are an academically oriented, evidenced-based and holistic psychiatric practice. Initial psychiatric evaluations are 60 – 90 minutes in-length, and we will take the time to understand not only if you have a psychiatric conditions that can be treated with medication management, but also to understand your personality, behaviors and life-story, so that a comprehensive treatment plan can be created. We’re seeing an increase in “subscription plan” and “on-line checklist” psychiatric providers, and frankly, we are concerned that this is not be good medicine. We strive to offer the same quality psychiatric care that an individual would receive at an academic institution, direct to your home in Allentown, Easton, or Jim Thorpe.
Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates was founded in 2012, by Dr. Chris Pagnani, an Instructor at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Psychiatric Resident Supervisor at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. The practice is comprised of Johns Hopkins, University of Pennsylvania and similarly trained psychiatric providers, who are academically oriented and wish to deliver evidenced-based and holistic psychiatric care.
We pride ourself in being a diverse practice, that welcomes all individuals.
We are a fee-for-service private practice and do not accept insurance directly. However, if patients have out-of-network benefits, we are happy to supply patients with receipts, so that they can submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement.
