Dr. Angelo Rannazzisi, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Instructor at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he received advanced training at The Center for Cognitive Therapy at The University of Pennsylvania and has also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University, where he was the Lead Behavioral Health Consultant for their Primary Care Integrated Behavioral Health Program.
Dr. Rannazzisi maintains a private practice at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates, where he provides psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, life and career transitions, relationship distress and other challenges, at our Philadelphia office and virtually. He additionally has a focus on treating college, graduate students and young adults with ADHD, and is offering individual therapy specifically for helping patients learn skills and organizational strategies to manage their symptoms of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Dr. Rannazzisi has found that ADHD skills training can reduce a patient’s need for pharmacological intervention. With that said, he has also found that for moderate to severe symptoms, skills training can work very well in conjunction with other forms of treatment.
Options for Treatment:
Individual Skills Training for ADHD utilizing CBT: Schedule an initial 60-min evaluation for individual therapy with Dr. Rannazzisi by using our contact information below. Initial evaluations are typically available within 2- 4 weeks, but tend to fill quickly at the start of fall, spring and summer academic calendars. Patients will often have an initial visit, followed by 45-minute follow-ups every 1 to 2 weeks for a total of 6 – 8 sessions. Patients then typically move to a “booster” session frequency of an appointment every 4 – 6 weeks. Booster sessions can help individuals maintain the skills that they develop, throughout their academic career and beyond. They also can create accountability for the student, to maintain long-term change. Dr. Rannazzisi treats students locally from The University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, Temple University and other colleges and universities in close proximity to our Philadelphia office. He additionally, can provide services via Telemedicine to patients living throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and others, as he is PYSPACT Certified: AL, AR, AZ, CO,CT, DE, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MN, MO, NE,NJ, NV, NH, NC, OH, OK, PA TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, DC, WV & WI.
Psychotherapy for Anxiety, Depression and Mood Disorders, ADHD and General Life Struggles:
Patients can also schedule an initial visit to engage in psychotherapy with Dr. Rannazzisi regarding struggles with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD and other general life struggles and transitions. Dr. Rannazzisi will utilize not only CBT, but additional forms of psychotherapy, and tailor treatment to the individual. Skills training for ADHD may be part of your treatment, but Dr. Rannazzisi is an experienced clinician serving individuals with not only ADHD, but other general mental health difficulties.
