We are now offering outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatric evaluations and treatment in Philadelphia, on the Mainline (Paoli, PA) and via Telehealth Virtual psychiatry in PA & NJ. Services include initial Psychiatric evaluations and psychiatric medication management at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates. Patients can be seen in-office or virtually, depending on provider licensing.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, generally refers to the treatment of psychiatric illness and the management of learning vulnerabilities, by a mental health provider with additional training in serving this population.
Why would you recommend a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, as opposed to a General Psychiatrist, if they also trained in mental health evaluations and treatment?
The presenting symptoms of a mood, anxiety or a learning disorder in a child, are often quite different, than the symptoms that an individual may present with in adulthood. For example, irritability or behavioral disturbances are commonly associated with the onset of depression in childhood, while sadness tends to be the initial complaint for adults. Having a provider with specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry, may increase the likelihood of obtaining an accurate diagnosis and the best treatment plan.

Gracie Yeo, MD is the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates. After completing an Adult Residency in General Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, she completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH) as well, in conjunction with Nemours / A.I. duPont Hospital for Children. She is currently accepting new patients, and can see patients throughout the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey either via face-to-face visits on the Main Line of Philadelphia, or by HIPAA compliant virtual appointments.
Juliet Muzere, DO is double board-certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as Adult Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She specializes in treating children and adolescents and also enjoys working with college age adults. She attended the University of Massachusetts- Amherst where she majored in Biology. She attended Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine for Medical School, Morehouse School of Medicine for Adult Psychiatry and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. She has received multiple recognitions and awards including the APA Resident Recognition Award and MSM Graduate Medical Education Resident of the Year. She is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and therefore provides both in-office and virtual visits to patients living throughout PA and NJ.
Cara Gouldey, CRNP is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with specialized training in the treatment of mood, anxiety and attention deficit disorders in both children and adults. She is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who graduated from New York University with a degree in Psychology. She was involved in research in cognition, memory, and public policy while at NYU. She then spent several years working both with the prestigious Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and in clinical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. She received an additional bachelor’s in nursing from Adelphi University in New York, and then was accepted into the Hospital for Special Surgery’s residency program. She then graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Masters program for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She has been appointed Instructor at The University of Pennsylvania. She is currently scheduling new patient visits at our Center City Philadelphia office and also has limited availability at her office in New York.
