Professional Background
Dr. Muzere earned her BS in Biology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and her DO from Rowan-Virtua University School of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine). She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident and received The Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award, the American Psychiatric Association/SAMHSA Minority Fellowship award, the American Psychiatric Association Resident Recognition award, and was named Morehouse School of Medicine Resident of the Year for both the Department of Psychiatry as well as Graduate Medical Education program. She completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/CHOP, serving as Inpatient Chief Resident. She also completed a two-year Family Therapy Program through the Philadelphia Child and Family Training Center.
