Who They Help
Dr. Yeo works with patients across the lifespan — from school-aged children to older adults — with particular depth in child, adolescent, and perinatal care. She has a special focus on families of children with ADHD whose behaviors have been difficult to manage at home, school, or in social settings, helping parents develop practical strategies alongside their child’s overall treatment plan. Dr. Yeo is proficient in Korean, though patients must speak some English.
Treatment Approach
Dr. Yeo provides individualized, evidence-based treatment combining psychotherapy and medication management. For children with ADHD, she incorporates evidence-based behavioral principles — drawing on elements of Parent Management Training and Collaborative Problem Solving — equipping families with concrete tools to address difficult behaviors at home and school. She also incorporates evidence-based functional medicine considerations such as nutrition, sleep, inflammation, and metabolic health alongside conventional psychiatric treatment, recognizing that biological and lifestyle factors meaningfully shape mental health outcomes. Dr. Yeo frequently coordinates with school counselors, teachers, therapists, and family physicians to ensure comprehensive, integrated care.
Professional Background
Dr. Yeo earned her bachelor’s degree from Haverford College, completed a post-baccalaureate program at Georgetown University, and earned her MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University. During medical school, she worked with women and children affected by domestic violence and sexual trauma. She completed her Adult Psychiatry residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Thomas Jefferson in conjunction with Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, where she served as Academic Chief Fellow.
